The best and the worst from each platform. Both, always.
Excellent customer service even 8 years after the pool was built. Can't say enough great things about them.
Tropical Pools of Altamonte Springs: a Florida license held since 1997, and one written review praising their service eight years after the build.
Tropical Pools works from Baywood Street in Altamonte Springs, Seminole County. Their Florida contractor license, CPC056802, was issued in August 1997 and is current — twenty-nine years of unbroken certification, which puts them among the four or five longest-licensed builders on this entire list. Their domain has been registered since 2002. They describe themselves as family owned and as award-winning; both are their own account, and unlike several firms here the award claim has no published record behind it that we could find, so treat it as a claim rather than a fact. Twenty-nine years of continuous licensing is the substantial thing on this page.
New pool construction, spas and hot tubs, water features and outdoor living work. Four lines — no renovation, no repairs, no service line — which from a twenty-nine-year license holder reads as building rather than maintaining. Their own website carries almost no project photography; the pictures on this profile come from their lookbook, which is worth asking them to walk you through, because it is the only real evidence of finished work available. They keep weekday hours and are closed at weekends, and publish no email address, so the phone is the way in.
Altamonte Springs and Seminole County. They publish no separate pages for individual towns, so there is no documented service area — Altamonte Springs, Longwood, Winter Park, Maitland, Casselberry and the northern side of the Orlando metro is the sensible reading, and anything further worth confirming by phone. The most recent activity on their site shows in late 2024, so confirm by phone that they are currently taking work rather than assuming it.
A clean 5.0 on Google from two reviews. Two ratings cannot judge a company that has held a license since 1997, and we are not going to pretend otherwise — no theme reaches our reporting floor and nothing here is a pattern. But of those two reviews, one carries text, and it happens to be the single most useful sentence a builder can have written about them. The customer says the service was excellent even eight years after the pool was built. Eight years. Almost every serious complaint on this list is some version of a builder who could not be reached once the money had cleared, and this is a customer volunteering the exact opposite at a distance of nearly a decade. It is one account, and one account is not evidence about a company — but it is a specific, dated, checkable kind of praise, and it aligns with a license held continuously for twenty-nine years. Read the two together and the picture is coherent: a long-established firm that appears to stay reachable. What is missing is everything else. There is no description of a build, no account of scheduling or communication, no photography on their own site, no published warranty terms, and no evidence of activity since late 2024. So the assessment has to come from the conversation. Ask for the addresses of three pools finished in the last two years and go and look at them. Ask what the award actually was and who gave it. And ask for the warranty in writing — a firm making a point of long-term service should have no difficulty putting it on paper.

There are two ratings, both top marks, and only one carries text — but it is a good one: the customer says the service was excellent even eight years after the pool was built. Two reviews cannot judge a company licensed since 1997, so treat that as a single specific data point rather than a record.
Since August 1997 — twenty-nine years of unbroken certification, among the longest on this list, and the substantial fact on this page. Their domain dates from 2002.
We could not find a published record behind it, unlike several other builders here whose award claims do check out. Treat it as a claim rather than a fact, and ask them what the award was and who gave it — an easy question for a firm that has one.
Not on their own website, which carries almost no project photography. The pictures here come from their lookbook, and it is worth asking them to walk you through it. Better still, ask for the addresses of three pools finished in the last two years and go and look.
Worth confirming. The most recent activity on their site was in late 2024, they publish no email address and keep weekday hours only. Phone rather than assume, and note they do not list renovation, repairs or ongoing service — they build new pools.
