Hands down the best pool building experience! We started the process in August 2021 and were swimming by March 2022! Marcus and his team were very responsive, extremely helpful and honest throughout the entire process. Pool building can be daunting and expensive but we didn't have any issues. They helped us put together a great design, built an incredible pool and even took care of us AFTER our pool was already 3 years old. Two months ago we noticed the pool water receding too quickly. We had a leak company come out, they said we had a leak in the main drain. We'd need to get the pool drained, the main drain dug out, fixed and then reinstalled. I reached out to Southern Paradise hoping this was covered under some type of warranty. it wasn't. However, Marcus said he'd send someone out to take care of it for us anyway. Like taking care of his customers was just what he does. It meant so much to us that he wasn't just treating us like a bank. He could have easily charged us seeing as his guys came out and worked 3 different days. They had it all done in under a week! Now we're back to using the pool! We will recommend Southern Paradise to anyone considering a pool for their house! We were initially recommended by our neighbor to our left, and two months after we finished, the neighbor two down from us on the right started their pool with Southern Paradise. Don't hesitate, you get what you pay for here and its a great value! These are good people and that is hard to find in the construction business!
Bought a home where this company built the pool 4 years ago. Drains were done improperly and were leaking requiring $3500 in repairs. Of course no warranty due to a home owner change. The water heater also has issue and they wont transfer warranty to new home owners. Perhaps they make a nice pool from all the recent reviews (or they made those reviews themselves), but expect to pay to rebuild it from their shoddy work over the next few years.
Southern Paradise Pools exceeded every expectation I had! After getting several quotes, they offered the best price by far, and not only did they stay within budget, but they also finished well ahead of schedule. They broke ground on July 18th, and the entire project was completed in just 5 weeks – we were swimming by August 22nd! I worked with three main contacts – Aaron, Ed, and the owner Marcus – and all of them were outstanding. Anytime I had a question, they responded immediately and kept me updated on every step of the process. Marcus, in particular, ran an incredibly well-organized schedule. The different stages of construction were scheduled back-to-back with very little downtime in between – it was a well-oiled machine from start to finish. Every crew member who came out was professional, respectful, and efficient. It’s clear they take pride in their work, and it shows in the final product. I would recommend Southern Paradise Pools to anyone looking to build a pool. They combine competitive pricing, excellent communication, and quality workmanship – a rare find these days! Thank you so much again, Marcus! We are looking forward to making many great memories in our beautiful, new pool!
Definitely disappointed in this company. From beginning to end they let me down. Would not recommend
I recently had the pleasure of working with Southern Paradise Pools & Spa for the installation of our new pool, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the experience. From start to finish, the process was smooth and efficient, taking only three months for the pool to be completed, which exceeded our expectations. Owner Marcus was incredibly responsive throughout the entire project. Whenever I had a question or needed an update, he was quick to provide answers and made sure I was always informed. The real standout, though, was our project manager, Ed. His attention to detail and dedication to ensuring everything went according to plan made all the difference. Ed was always on top of things, coordinating between the team and keeping us on schedule. The entire Southern Paradise Pools & Spa team was professional, hardworking, and friendly. The quality of work is top-notch, and I am beyond thrilled with the final result. If you’re looking for a reliable and efficient pool installation team, I highly recommend Southern Paradise Pools & Spa. A fantastic experience from start to finish! Thank you SO MUCH for your great work!! Reeds
Visited a friend a while back and they were getting a pool built by this company, they actually recommend them because we were also looking to get a pool done soon. I contacted the company and a representative named Aaron reached out a week later. He asked me for all my info and I sent him my land survey, contact info, and even a 3d design of exactly what we wanted. I was happy to hopefully work with a company in my area. That was June 2nd, I’ve yet to hear from him til this day. If he can’t even bother to write back, I can’t do business with a company like this… Very disappointed.

Southern Paradise Pools & Spas of Clermont: 4.5 on Google from 28 reviews, with four distinct praise themes including price and keeping to schedule.
Southern Paradise Pools & Spas works out of US-27 in Clermont, Lake County. Their Florida contractor license, CPC1459283, was issued in May 2019 and is current — seven years — and the domain was registered later the same year. They make no marketing claims at all: no awards, no warranty headline, no family-owned line, no claim to be the best or most trusted. There is genuinely nothing here for us to check against the record, because they have asserted nothing beyond doing the work. On a list where almost every builder claims to be number one, that is worth noticing before anything else.
New pool construction, renovation of existing pools, ongoing pool service, spas and hot tubs, water features and outdoor living work. Six lines, none with a page of its own, and twenty-four project photographs published — a full set, and the most useful part of the site for judging finished work. Their projects page was last updated in 2024, so the gallery is a couple of years old rather than current; ask for recent work as well. They keep weekday hours, finishing at four, and are closed at weekends.
Clermont and Lake County. They publish no separate pages for individual towns, so there is no documented service area — Clermont, Groveland, Winter Garden, Minneola and the western edge of the Orlando metro is the sensible reading, and anything further worth confirming by phone. Their most recent activity shows at the end of June, so the business is trading; the website is maintained rather than actively worked on, which for a firm with this review record does not much matter.
Google has them at 4.5 from 28 reviews — within a rounding error of the 4.52 Florida average — but the average is the least interesting thing here. What stands out is the consistency: four separate praise themes clear our reporting floor on a sample of only twenty-eight, which is much harder than it sounds. Professionalism is named by nine customers, communication by seven, build quality by six, and keeping to schedule by four. On a sample this size, having nine of twenty-eight customers independently name the same strength is strong evidence rather than a scattering of good feeling — and communication and schedule being the second and fourth most-named is unusual, because those are the two things this trade is normally criticised for. Two detailed accounts make it concrete: one customer started the process in August 2021 and was swimming by March 2022, which for a Florida pool build is a genuinely good timeline; another got several quotes, found Southern Paradise the best price by far, and reports that they still kept to schedule. Price and schedule together is a combination most builders cannot offer. No complaint theme reaches our floor of two customers raising the same thing. Two individual one-star accounts exist and, unusually, neither gives much detail — one describes a poor experience contacting the company after a friend recommended them, the other says only that they were let down from beginning to end. Without specifics we cannot tell you what went wrong, and we are not going to speculate. Read them yourself on the listing. Against four clear praise themes and a 4.5, they are the tail. The sensible questions here are the ordinary ones: get the schedule in writing, since keeping to it is their strongest suit, and ask for photographs of work from the last year rather than relying on a gallery last updated in 2024.

Google has them at 4.5 from 28 reviews, effectively level with the 4.52 Florida average — but the consistency is the story. Four praise themes clear our reporting floor on only twenty-eight reviews: professionalism (nine customers), communication (seven), build quality (six) and keeping to schedule (four). Communication and schedule are normally what this trade gets criticised for, not praised for.
On the evidence, yes to both — which is rare. One customer got several quotes, found them the best price by far, and reports they still kept to schedule. Another started in August 2021 and was swimming by March 2022, a genuinely good timeline for a Florida build. Get the schedule in writing, since it appears to be their strongest suit.
Two, and honestly they are not very informative. One describes a poor experience contacting the company after a friend recommended them; the other says only that they were let down from beginning to end, without saying how. No complaint theme reaches our reporting floor and we will not speculate about what is not written. Read them on the listing and weigh them against four clear praise themes.
The site publishes a full set of twenty-four project photographs, but the projects page was last updated in 2024, so the gallery is a couple of years old. Ask for photographs of work finished in the last year, and for addresses you can drive past.
