It has been an absolute pleasure to work with Agua Pools--specifically Randy Berner and his team on a MAJOR pool renovation--new coping, decking, shell, spa, water falls, sun shelf, new equipment and screen. The execution of our vision has been exceptional, timely with attention to detail that exceeded our expectations. What a project...and even better, what an amazing effort and execution to deliver a special outdoor experience for our new home and our family. From the start of the process the communication of the plan and the progression along the way was superior. Randy and his team are absolutely "top shelf" and the very reason we have chosen to build our last two pools with him. We trust him at the highest level to do things right and deliver what we had in mind. We are grateful for a job well done! Talented, connected and great guy! Trust!!!
Absolutely terrible experience. We scheduled a consultation for a large pool resurfacing project—adjusted our work schedules to be available for them earlier in the week, and were promised a quote by Friday. Friday came and went with no call, no email, nothing. We tried calling several times, and no one answered or returned our calls. Finally, the following Monday, we received a call from their receptionist (who admitted she was new) just to be told they couldn’t take on our project because they “don’t have the staffing or ability.” Why even advertise pool resurfacing services if you can’t handle the work? Why waste our time coming out for a consult if you had no intention of following through? This was unprofessional, frustrating, and a complete waste of time. If this is how they treat potential customers, I can only imagine how they treat paying ones. I will never do business with this company, nor would I recommend them to anyone.
Agua Pools was Steller through the entire process of building both our pool and outdoor kitchen! This company wants to work, communicates, and delivers an amazing product in a timely manner. They told us about 4 months to complete both the pool and kitchen, and everything was done in 3 months! There was then a day of pool school and a month of them caring for the pool and tweaking water features and getting the chemistry right while you wait a bit for the pool to cure before able to swim. See pool and kitchen specs at the end of this review. All the various contractors they used along the way were kind and mostly did a good clean-up job. Give each of these various crews some Gatorade and treats, they love snacks...lol. Our pool manager Mark was incredible and made it all go smoothly, and if there is a bump in the road, you can rest assured Mark will make it right. In addition, we can say the same about Chris, the outdoor kitchen project manager! We are so incredibly pleased with both our pool and outdoor kitchen! Thank you to: Mark, our incredible pool project manager Chris, our amazing kitchen designer and project manager Bill, our awesome sales dude Diane, Julie, and Sean, our cool front office, and catch all go-to peeps. All the hard-working contractors through every phase of construction. We're going to miss a few names (forgive us): Ricky, Jacob, Mike, Bill, Brett, another Mike...lol and so many more. Please know your hard work will be enjoyed for years to come. We are already creating wonderful memories. We can't wait to get our tropical landscaping installed to finish it all off. If horrible customer service, not backing their poor products and or Installation, and not being responded back is what you are looking for then this is the right business to deal with ! Spent $4500 extra (Pre Covid price 2020) for tile on the spa and it looks horrible within 2 years ?! Not to mention the travertine that I constantly have to reset because they are always coming loose or uneven. The list goes on that I could have easily blasted this company for while the build was being done but the tile and them not backing it up was the final straw. Please reach out to me if you have any questions or want to know more on why NOT to do business with Agua Pools.
When looking at pools we were very impressed with Agua Pools and their showroom in St. Johns. However, we were reluctant because of the BBB review that a couple of people posted. After speaking with our Salesman (Ryan) and reading numerous google reviews of how people were very happy, we decided to move forward with Agua Pools. I can't say enough how impressed and happy we are and how our pool turned out. Everyone at this company is professional and honest from our Salesman (Ryan) to our Project Manager (Ethan) to all of the subcontractors. We signed a contract in March and they started when they said they would in May. They said it would take 3-4 months and it did. They finished in July. Every step of the way they did what they promised. Ethan was available any time we called to ask questions and he was professional and patient. After they fill the pool, they have someone come out every few days to manage the pool for the first month until they turn it over to your care. I am very happy with Agua Pools and have referred friends and family to them. My brother in law is starting his pool with them soon because he was so impressed with the way ours turned out. Don't be swayed away by the BBB complaint - sometimes people cannot be pleased no matter how much you try to do for them. This company is GREAT and I am so happy we decided to use them.

Agua Pools and Spa of Holly Hill: license CPC1459907 since 2022, 4.0 on Google from 53 reviews against a 4.52 state average, and nine templated area pages.
Agua Pools and Spa works out of Holly Hill, on Ridgewood Avenue in Volusia County, just north of Daytona Beach. The domain is much older, registered in July 2006 and archived from 2011, so the name has been in use on the coast for about twenty years while this license dates from 2022. Worth asking how the two fit together; licenses are re-issued and transferred for plenty of innocent reasons.
Eight service lines, the full spread: new pool construction, renovation, repairs, weekly service, spas and hot tubs, screen enclosures, water features and outdoor living. Screen enclosures matter in Central Florida, where they are half of what an outdoor space needs. The gallery is thin at six photographs, so there is little on the site to judge the standard of finish by — ask to see finished work in person.
Read the area list carefully. They publish pages for nine places — Holly Hill, Daytona Beach, Ormond Beach, Palm Coast, St. Augustine, St. Johns, Jacksonville, Ocala and Tallahassee — and Tallahassee is the better part of a day's round trip from Holly Hill. Those pages are one template with the city name changed rather than anything written about the individual towns, so treat the list as the furthest they say they will travel rather than evidence of work done in each. The licensed address in Holly Hill is the fixed fact. One number is published, on a Jacksonville area code rather than a local Volusia one, along with one email address. Weekday hours run 9am until 5pm.
Fifty-three people have reviewed them on Google and the average sits at 4.0, which is 0.52 below the 4.52 Florida average — one of the wider gaps on this list, and on fifty-three reviews it is a pattern rather than a run of bad luck. That is the number to weigh. In proportion: 4.0 across fifty-three customers still means a good many satisfied ones, five reviewers name the crew's professionalism, and nothing negative recurred — no complaint theme was raised by even two separate customers, so there is no specific fault the critical reviews agree on. Results appear to vary rather than to fail in one particular way. Read the one and two-star reviews before you commit, and given the spread of towns they advertise, ask who would actually be on site and how far they are travelling.

Yes. Florida certified pool contractor license CPC1459907 is on record in the company's name and shows current, held since May 2022. The license covers construction; insurance is separate and no public register shows it, so ask for a certificate.
Below average, on a count that makes it meaningful. They sit at 4.0 from 53 Google reviews — 0.52 under the 4.52 Florida average, one of the wider gaps here. Five reviewers name the crew's professionalism and no complaint theme reached even two separate customers, so nothing specific recurs; results seem to vary rather than fail in one way. Read the low-star reviews yourself.
They publish pages for Holly Hill, Daytona Beach, Ormond Beach, Palm Coast, St. Augustine, St. Johns, Jacksonville, Ocala and Tallahassee — and Tallahassee is a very long way from Holly Hill. Those pages are one template with the town name swapped, so treat the list as how far they say they will travel and ask directly which of them they actually build in.
The license dates from May 2022 and the domain from July 2006, so the name has been around the Volusia coast far longer than this license. That mismatch is common and usually harmless, but it is a fair thing to ask them to explain.
Monday to Friday, 9am until 5pm. One phone number is published — on a Jacksonville area code rather than a local one — plus one email address, and there are six photographs on the site.
