We built our pool with Blue Dream Pools in 2019. Just over 4 years later we are just as thrilled with the pool as we were on day 1. Our build took 10 weeks. He had been very clear with the build timeline/expectations of the process etc, and thankfully we had zero issues with weather and zero issue with supply chain things. The pool has had no issues, we have loved being able to have our kids and their friends spend countless hours in it. My wife and I love being able to sit out on our lanai and have coffee in the mornings or drink some wine with friends in the evening as it adds such a nice ambiance to be around. The companies Blue Dream used for plumbing, tile, pavers, and screening were top notch, we noticed this was a major difference vs neighbors who had gone with other builders. The great service after the build has been awesome and we have stayed in touch here and there and he's even had his guys come out a couple of times to check it over and they did some courtesy things after I reached out and asked a couple of questions..... it just reinforced to us that we chose the right builder. Blue Dream built us a great pool that we use all the time and so many memories have been created in and around that pool over the past 4 years. We are appreciative of them and got everything and more that we hoped for, from it.
LOVE BLUE DREAM POOLS. Literally cannot say enough good things about BDP. From designing my pool long distance (I was in NJ), during the construction phase, and of course the end product - we love our pool. BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY ... during my 2 year relationship with Blue Dream Pools - any time I had a question, concern or needed service - they immediately responded and took care of my issue. They are always available via phone, text or email!!! Last week I called about my spa, they were out at my home within 2 hours, diagnosed the issue and returned the next day with the part to repair my spa. Customer service is and remains GREAT. Shout out to my girl Bonnie who designed my pool - she is fantastic if you are looking to make your ideas a reality.
Sam and his crew installed our pool back at the end of 2020/beginning of 2021. They did a fantastic job, all their subs were super professional. They were also keeping an eye out for the house if we weren’t around while they were working, thereby noticing a water leak coming from inside and notifying us right away and turning off our water, thereby saving most of our house from water damage. Their customer support has kept going even after the build was done, as well. Any time we’ve had any questions or problems, they have come out to check it out and advise us on our best course of action. And of course, the pool itself is exactly what we wanted. Sam worked with us to build our pool exactly the way we wanted, and it is perfect!
Sam and Matt from Blue Dream were excellent to deal with throughout our pool build. We met with tons of pool builders before blue dream and when Sam came out for the design meeting we felt comfortable right from the start! We designed a fairly large T shaped pool, which was not very standard and had a bit of a tough elevation issue the builder left us with for the lania. The process was fast and communication with our projector manager Matt, kept us up to date on what was happening throughout the build. We went from grass to finished pool in around 3.5 months. I would highly recommend blue dream and their team!
Our communication and pool building process with Blue Dream Pools, began in June 2022. In this time frame, this company has dropped from 5 star service briefly, down to 2 star service. Right off the bat, we weren't too fond of our pool designer for a few reasons, one being that she offered some initial renderings that made zero sense. She went on to say that we had asked for certain placements/features which was completely untrue. We asked to switch to a different designer but we were told that wasn't possible. After we had signed the contract there were several addendums (more $$$) that had to be made to bring our (already agreed upon) vision to life that were only communicated with us at the eleventh hour. eg. We had to extend the pavers and enclosure about 3-4 ft in order to place the door where we wanted it. I would rate their communication at about 2/10 as of right now. I have questions/emails that have gone unanswered for months (some dating back to March) regarding the pool build. I constantly send follow up emails literally stating I'm looking for a response, only to be met with crickets. We were assured that all our pool would be completed by 4/19/23 which is also when our last payment was due. The pool is currently useable, but there are still many small details that need to be completed or redone as they were not done properly the first time. Eg: our umbrella sleeve and bubbler are completely misaligned, our skimmer has sunken in and if you step on it you essentially fall into the pool because the pavers were not cut in the proper shape, there's a hole in the outside structure wall, the grading was not done evenly and now we are having issues with turf/sod companies, etc. We were using Blue Dream for our weekly pool maintenance. They did not provide a weekly maintenance report of any kind, and they came on different day each week. Our chemicals were not being balanced properly as evidence by the monthly water tests I was having done. We eventually cancelled the maintenance through them. Pros:- The pool itself looks great - The initial powerpoint was great and very informative. - Communication at the beginning was easy - The build went quite quickly and smoothly until the last 5%. Cons: (These are all things I have already made the company aware of)- The pool equipment was not placed where we agreed for it to be placed during our design consultation. - Communication with Blue Dream now is absolutely awful - The heater vent was placed facing into the house so each time we heat the pool you can smell gas. - Tons of their contractors smoked cigarettes and left garbage on our property. - Our garbage/recycling bins were blocked in for about a month (yuck) by the pavers that were dropped off blocking our yard's entrance/exit. - Our irrigation system (outside of the pool build area) was broken by contractors twice - The fence/gate was not replaced properly and still has issues closing if not perfectly lined up - Pool start-up instructions were not sent to us until almost two weeks after the water was (incorrectly) filled in the pool. The pool was not brushed at all during that time, which according to the instructions is extremely important starting on day one. Overall, these issues would be much easier to overlook if the company would just respond to emails and keep us in the loop of what to expect moving forward. We are now at 5 months past the promised completion date. I've yet to get a response on several questions regarding the completion of the pool as well as things they have broken off our home that need to be replaced.
Blue Dream did a poor job with communication, coordination and management of our pool. Our construction supervisor was rarely on site which lead to many problems. The project may have been completed on time had there not been a 2 month period where only one step(waterline tile) was completed. Our pool deck had to be done 3 times and rather than expediting the situation it appeared that Blue Dream was purposely dragging there feet to prolong the construction. I suggest finding some other pool builder where you might have better luck then we did.
