Artesian Pools Of Orlando

This was our first pool build. More than anything we wanted to avoid a catastrophe, so we decided to go with a company that had an established track record. We narrowed our choices to three companies, did a ton of research, checked references, visited neighbors who had used them, and in the end we were off to the races with Artesian Pools. Let’s be honest. There are VERY few (if any) “perfect” pool builds. We’ve all heard the stories, right? Crap workmanship. Arguments over budgets. Blown deadlines. And in the end, many people are left with a substandard product that haunts them for years. But if anything can be ALMOST perfect, I think we had that build. Sure, it went on far longer than it could have, but when I’m floating around my pool five years from now, I wanted to look around and see a quality job, where all parts of a pool project were created by craftsmen who care about their work and can produce an amazing focal point in your back yard. And that's pretty much exactly what we got. And we unintentionally made it harder on Artesian. We added a sun shelf late in the planning process. We changed the hand rail REALLY late in the build. We switched from pavers to travertine and really messed with their heads. However, through it all Artesian never blinked. Then were responsive, understanding, flexible, and fair. It’s funny. I was reading the comments in some of the Google reviews for Artesian, and my experience was completely the opposite of some of the one star reviews. Julio was our project manager and he was great. Even more impressive was Hannah, who was our prime contact at Artesian and handled every question or concern we threw at her. If I emailed her at 9:00am, I would almost always hear back from her by noon, sometimes MINUTES later, and certainly before the end of the day. She was kind, smart, funny, and unflinchingly understanding and professional. She really became the face of Artesian for us for the entire 6-month build. As others have said, Artesian is not the least expensive option out there, but it’s also not the most expensive either. They’re not the fastest, as we began in early June and didn’t finish until November. So if you’re looking for cheap and fast, don’t call them. However, if you’re looking for a stunning finished product that you’ll be thrilled to have for years to come, Artesian is a perfect option. The photos I included here don’t really do the pool justice. The quality is in the detail. And I mean that across the board, even in details you can’t SEE. From the gunite pour, through the tile work (Greg is an artist), to the plumbing, and the deck installation, everything was completed with care and pride in their craftsmanship. When it was finished, I remember saying to my wife that it FAR exceeded my expectations, and even though we spent more than we wanted, in the end, I wouldn’t change anything about the final product, or the experience of building it. I have no vested interest in who you choose as a pool builder. I’m sure there are other great companies out there. But here’s the thing. You only get ONE SHOT at deciding who’s going to take on the enormous responsibility of tearing up your back yard and putting it back together with a watery hole in it that looks like an architectural work of art. If you screw up that ONE decision, there’s no easy recovery from it. We went with Artesian because we thought that, after researching, and analyzing, and reference-checking, they would give us the best chance at success. And they never let us down.

If you’re looking for an inexpensive pool, built quickly, then Artesian is not for you. However, if you want to maximize your opportunity to build a custom pool and outdoor living space, then I highly suggest that you consider Artesian Pools of Orlando. Unquestionable, they are more expensive than the cookie cutter pool builders, but we found the premium price we paid more than worth it. From the beginning, it was obvious that the Artesian team and subcontractors are craftsmen. Starting with the salesperson, through all phases of construction, and into “pool school,” the Artesian staff took their time to ensure that the work done well and that it was done to a level of precision that you’d expect in an artist. The subcontractors were equally as diligent. The tile layers took almost two weeks as they measured constantly and re-set tiles that weren’t exactly correct. The travertine layer’s cuts were spot on. The plumber’s work was incredibly neat which I found to be very helpful when adjusting our pool’s water flow once the pool was started up. When there was a misunderstanding with the screen subcontractor, he didn’t argue… he just fixed the problem. Unlike our home builder, Artesian included high end finishes as “standard.” Not once were we asked to pay an up-charge for the finishes that we selected. I kept waiting for the “gotcha” moment, but it never arrived. Instead, there were a few occasions where Artesian added extra features or upgraded fixtures that we didn’t request, mentioning something to the effect of “this is a really nice pool… we’re not going to put xyz on it.” As someone who has never owned a pool before, this level of care was very much appreciated. Our salesperson, Alex, was patient, thorough, and an excellent collaborator in the creative process of designing our pool. He also didn’t “disappear” like many salespeople after contract signing. Our superintendent, Julio, was very responsive via text to any random question or concern. I can’t think of a time when it took more than 30 to 45 minutes for Julio to respond. Finally, our “Pool School” teacher, Charlie, spent over 3 hours with us teaching the chemistry behind operating a pool. He even helped us find a few punch list items that I missed. One piece of advice… Artesian is not a general contractor. If you plan to do any home renovations or to build an outdoor kitchen, I would suggest that you find a contractor and have them coordinate their work. In our case, we needed a large opening cut into a concrete wall. Our contractor and Artesian timed the work perfectly so that the construction debris from the renovation didn’t negatively affect the finishings (or the timeline) of the pool. I was in your shoes about 9 months ago. We decided that we were just about ready for a pool but scared to death that we’d choose the wrong pool builder. One of our neighbors was at the tail end of a horrible experience with one of the national pool builders, and we didn’t want to go through a similar experience. The reviews on this site and others were incredibly helpful to us as we narrowed down our list of options and eventually chose Artesian. Hopefully, this review will help you as you make one of the biggest investments into your home.

We love our Artesian pool! We did our homework, met with several companies, looked at options, and talked with many sales reps. After meeting with Tony, we finally decided on Artesian Pools. We were and are very pleased with our decision. We contracted with Artesian on January 15, 2021, and our pool was completed in March 2022. We were part of the group contracting mid-pandemic when supply chains and business generally took longer overall. That said, we were kept informed of the process and updated on wait times to the best of their ability. Some changes were needed based on our property, elevation, etc. Installation went well, and any issues were addressed in a timely manner and handled properly. Tony and Hannah in the office are awesome! The finished product is beautiful! One of the absolute BEST assets of Artesian is Keith their pool pump, pool water, pool everything expert. Once your pool is complete and operational, you’ll attend “Pool School” with Keith. Well, at least my pool school was with Keith. As a newbie to pool ownership, I was incredibly nervous about everything from pump operation and pump maintenance to water chemistry and everything in between. Keith was the most patient teacher; he explained everything and answered my endless questions. He allowed me to video all his lessons; these videos saved on my phone saved me from losing my mind so many times. Keith continues to be a lifeline for me. He’s so kind and patient. If I have a random issue, he always responds and helps. He listens, making me feel like no question or problem is ridiculous, and he always has an answer. He never responds like I’m a bother. Having the support of Keith has been everything to me post-pool completion. He is the absolute best.

During the start of the pandemic I wanted to put a pool in my background after saving for many years. I looked all over the web and found a contractor that had beautiful pools pictures and decided to call them. I paid them a huge amount and they managed to pull out permits and build the shell. Contractor again asked for more money which I gave them and then they went bankruptcy into chapter 11 and finally chapter 7. I had a hole with large mountain of soil for over 2 years no backyard. I found out that contractor had done the same for around 500 different people that wanted pools. I could not fine anyone to take over initially the pool project until I found a company that was in business in Orlando, Florida for many years, had an excellent reputation and I decided to call them, the company name ARTESIAN POOLS. I spoke with Mr. Keith Cooper of Artesian Pools and he immediately came over and gave me a new estimate that included ripping out all the junk that was left since some of the sides had caved in. I signed contract and in record time he and his staff came in, got new permits, plans and build a Dream come true pool oasis in my backyard immediately. Artesian pools has done a wonderful job each time they have done work on our home. Their employees are always on time, professional and work hard to get the job done in a timely manner. The best part was the communication with the staff and the quality of the project. Artesian Pool staff kept me up to date with the timeline and never failed with dates. Finally I had the perfect pool in my backyard. Artesian Pools gave my wife and myself training on how to use all the equipment and maintain the pool. Best pool contractor ever. I would definitely recommend.
