About this directory

This is every Florida pool builder we could find a real trading record for: the license the state holds, the ratings and reviews on Google and Yelp, the photographs from their own websites, and the towns the evidence says they actually work in. Every profile names its sources and the date we last looked at each one.

The order is ours, and it is not the star rating. Hundreds of builders sit on exactly five stars, most of them off a handful of reviews — sorted by stars you would scroll past pages of them before reaching a 4.8 built on three hundred. So the list is ordered by our own score, which weighs reputation alongside how long a builder has traded, how active they are now, how much finished work they can show, and how complete their record is. It cannot be bought. Verified and premium listings appear in their own band at the top, labelled, and their score reads exactly the same as everybody else’s.

On licenses. Most builders here have a current Certified Pool Contractor license on file with the Florida DBPR, and their profile shows the number, the status, whose name it is held in, and a link straight into the state’s own record so you can check it against us.

Before you sign anything. Check the license number on the state register yourself — it takes a minute and the link is on every profile. Read the critical reviews as well as the good ones. Look for the same few complaints repeating across many reviews rather than trusting one glowing testimonial or one furious paragraph. And get two or three quotes in writing before you commit. Everything on this page is public record gathered into one place; it is a good start on that conversation, not a substitute for having it.
